Chamber seeks smoke-free supporters

Smoking is not only killing us, it’s bankrupting us. With nearly a quarter of Kentuckians still smoking (the second highest rate in the country), the CDC has estimated smoking-related health expenditures cost Kentucky more than $1.7 billion annually, and the smoking-attributable economic productivity loss at more than $2.6 billion. The Kentucky Chamber is working to identify businesses across the state who are willing to support a statewide smoke-free law that would prohibit smoking in indoor public places, including the workplace. If your company would like to get involved in this important initiative, please contact Charles George at 502-848-8766 or cgeorge@kychamber.com.
