Action Alert: Urge your Senator to vote yes on public-private partnership (P3) legislation

Public private partnerships provide an important tool for our state and local governments. A public private partnership (P3) is a contractual agreement between a public agency and a private-sector entity to deliver a service or provide a facility for use by the general public.

Public-private partnerships (P3s) mean more private sector jobs with fewer tax dollars expended. The Kentucky Chamber is pushing legislation to create more business opportunities with House Bill 309 and Senate Bill 132 to do what all of our surrounding states have already done – authorize public-private partnerships. HB 309 passed the House in an overwhelming fashion several weeks ago. This bill creates a clear process for P3’s to ensure an even playing field with oversight and taxpayer protection.

Please Support a comprehensive P3 bill and let it get a full vote in the Senate.  P3 is a bill that will move Kentucky forward on important investments that would create jobs, complete necessary infrastructure projects, efficiently serve the public, create a transparent process and most importantly protect taxpayer dollars.
