Continuing on the fast track in the legislature, right-to-work and prevailing wage repeal legislation passed Senate committees Friday, paving the way for the bills to become law this weekend.
Right-to-work (House Bill 1) passed out of the Senate State and Local Government Committee Friday morning with an 8-3 vote.
And prevailing wage repeal legislation (House Bill 3) was passed in the Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee right after by 10-3.
The passage of both bills puts them on track to receive a vote on the Senate floor on Saturday and then be placed on the governor’s desk as early as that day.
Both chambers plan to convene Saturday with the Senate going in at 9 and House at 10 a.m. where they will take floor votes.
