Representative Jim DeCesare presented with Chamber MVP Award

DM8bg1xVQAAzZ33On Tuesday, Kentucky Chamber Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Ashli Watts presented Rep. Jim DeCesare, of Bowling Green, with the Chamber MVP Award. Rep. DeCesare was among a select group of legislators recognized for conspicuous actions supporting Kentucky’s business community during the 2017 Kentucky General Assembly.

“During his time in the legislature, Rep. DeCesare has always been a strong friend to the Chamber and the business community, and this was never more evident than in the historic 2017 legislative session,” said Kentucky Chamber President and CEO Dave Adkisson. “Rep. Jim DeCesare co-sponsored House Bill 1, right-to-work and House Bill 3, prevailing wage repeal as well as served as a primary sponsor of House Bill 189 to bring transparency to the state’s area development districts. To thank him for his work on behalf of the business community, we are presenting him with a Chamber MVP award to recognize his support of pro-business policies in such a historic session.”

In addition to monitoring the progress of bills that directly relate to the strength of the Commonwealth’s business community, the Chamber tracks how each legislator votes on these bills. The Chamber’s MVP award recipients displayed more than just a business-friendly voting record, but also went out of their way, and at times across party lines, to support or oppose an issue critical to the business climate in Kentucky.
