Kentucky Chamber to host Workforce Summit January 30

As workforce continues to be a critical issue for Kentucky, the Kentucky Chamber is hosting a summit on January 30, 2018 to address the key workforce topics facing the business community.

When breaking down the causes of Kentucky’s workforce crisis, education is a key focus area. Strada Education Network, a national nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen the path between education and employment, concluded the following statistics about Kentuckian’s education:

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Strada Education Network’s Vice President of Research and Policy, Derek Redelman, at the summit.

Also speaking at the day-long event, Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development Secretary, Terry Gill, will speak on the Role of Workforce Development in Kentucky’s Economic Development as the keynote.

Other sessions will include discussions from industry leaders about employer-led partnerships between education and workforce, talent recruiting, diversity, the opioid and addiction crisis and more.
