The Kentucky Chamber’s wrap-up of the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly and what it means to businesses is now available for download. The Chamber’s Results for Business publication contains bill descriptions, details priority legislation that passed, includes a legislative voting record, and more.

Some of the key highlights from this year’s session include:

The Chamber’s advocacy resulted in $1.006 billion in savings for Kentucky employers, equating to savings of $589 per employee in the Commonwealth.

In 2024, lawmakers invested in the Commonwealth’s future in the biennial budget, which funded several significant priorities: child care, education, economic development, infrastructure, and more.

In addition to historic budget investments, the Chamber successfully advocated for priorities to enact voluntary paid leave insurance in the Commonwealth, remove barriers to opening new child care centers, establish a data privacy framework, authorize autonomous vehicles, expand the signature bourbon industry, and more.

Notably, the General Assembly did not pass new sales taxes on business purchases, a top Chamber priority in 2024.
