House Announces Committee Chairs, Vice-Chairs Ahead of 2025 Session

Leading into the 2025 legislative session, Kentucky House Republicans named committee chairs and vice chairs.

One notable change is that the Education Committee will be divided into two new standing committees. Rep. James A. Tipton, R-Taylorsville, will chair the Postsecondary Education Committee, and Rep. Shane Baker, R-Somerset, will be vice chair. Rep. Scott Lewis, R-Hartford, will chair the Primary and Secondary Education Committee, and Rep. Mike Clines, R-Alexandria, will serve as vice chair.

Standing committees meet only during a session, and all proposed legislation must move through them.
