Legislative leaders elected in House and Senate

Tuesday was primarily an “administrative” day at the capitol with both chambers swearing in new members and organizing committee structures. But it was also an historic day for leadership elections. Sannie Overly became the first woman elected to House leadership as the Majority Caucus Chairman and Rep. Jeff Hoover was re-elected as House Minority Leader. Rep. Hoover has become the longest-serving Republican Minority Leader in the House.
