Rep. Russell Webber Presented with Kentucky Chamber MVP Award

Rep. Webber - MVP Award PresentationOn Tuesday, Kentucky Chamber Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Ashli Watts presented Representative Russell Webber of Shepherdsville with the Chamber MVP Award. Rep. Webber was among a select group of legislators who “went to bat” for Kentucky business during the 2019 Kentucky General Assembly.

“During this legislative session and throughout his time in office Rep. Webber has shown strong leadership by addressing key business issues to help move our state forward,” said Watts. “This session, Rep. Webber worked closely with the Kentucky Chamber on legislation seeking to modernize the state’s unemployment insurance system. We thank him for this effort to make Kentucky more competitive with surrounding states.”

In addition to monitoring the progress of bills that create a better business climate and advance the Commonwealth, the Chamber tracks how each legislator votes on these bills. The Chamber’s MVP award recipients displayed more than just a business-friendly voting record, but also went out of their way, and at times across party lines, to support or oppose an issue critical to the business climate in Kentucky.
