Senate Announces Committee Chairs, Vice-Chairs Ahead of 2025 Session

Leading into the 2025 legislative session, Kentucky Senate Republicans named committee chairs and vice chairs.

Standing committees meet only during a session, and all proposed legislation must move through them. See the announced committee chairs for standing Senate committees below:

• Agriculture Committee: Chair Sen. Jason Howell, R-Murray, and Vice Chair Sen. Gary Boswell, R-Owensboro
• Appropriations & Revenue: Chair Sen. Chris McDaniel, R-Ryland Heights, and Vice Chair Sen. Amanda Mays Bledsoe, R-Lexington
• Banking & Insurance Committee: Chair Sen. Jared Carpenter, R-Berea, and Vice Chair Sen. Rick Girdler, R-Somerset
• Economic Development, Tourism, and Labor Committee: Chair Sen. Phillip Wheeler, R-Pikeville, and Vice Chair Sen. Shelley Funke Frommeyer, R-Alexandria
