Kentucky Chamber Adds to Leadership Team, Names Aull and Noel as Vice Presidents

The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has announced the promotions of Dr. Charles Aull as Vice President of Policy and Sawyer Coffey Noel as Vice President of Communications and Marketing.

Since joining the Chamber in 2021, Dr. Aull has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s research and policy work. In 2022, he led the creation of the Kentucky Chamber Center for Policy and Research—a nonpartisan hub for high-quality analysis on critical issues facing the Commonwealth. Under his leadership, the Center has produced influential research on workforce development, tax modernization, substance use disorder, and Kentucky’s housing shortage. The Center has also facilitated statewide engagement, gathering input from local community leaders to inform effective, business-driven policy solutions. He has been closely involved in advancing several of the Chamber’s key legislative initiatives, including tax reform, child care solutions, and unemployment insurance reform.

Dr. Aull received his PhD in 2013 from Indiana University, where he studied history and government. He has also studied at Georgetown University and the Villanova University School of Law.

Noel began her tenure at the Chamber in 2017 as the manager of communications. Since then, she has played an instrumental role in transforming and elevating the organization’s communications efforts, leading key projects that have advanced the Chamber’s mission, and amplifying the Chamber’s impact on the Commonwealth. Her work has earned national recognition by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for communications excellence, and Ragan named her a Top Woman in Communications in 2024. Noel is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she earned her degree in public relations.

“I am proud to announce the promotions of Charles Aull to Vice President of Policy and Sawyer Coffey Noel to Vice President of Communications,” said Kentucky Chamber President and CEO Ashli Watts. “Both have played a critical role in advancing the Chamber’s mission and will be tremendous assets to our leadership team. Charles has led our research efforts with excellence, helping to position the Chamber as a trusted, data-driven voice on Kentucky’s most pressing challenges. And Sawyer’s strategic communications work has elevated our organization’s message and impact across the state. Their expertise and dedication will only strengthen the work we do on behalf of Kentucky’s business community.”
