Kim Halbauer, regional president of Fifth Third Bank, Kentucky, has been elected to serve as chair of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce for the 2026-2027 term. Halbauer succeeds Condrad Daniels, president of HJI Supply Chain Solutions, who served as chair in 2025-2026.
Halbauer was named regional president of Fifth Third Bank, Kentucky, in 2020 after 30 years of service to the company. In her role, she leads the strategic direction and growth of the bank’s commercial, wealth and asset management, and consumer businesses.
Halbauer began her career with Fifth Third Bank as a customer service representative while attending college and has since held numerous leadership positions within the organization. Before assuming her current role, she served as managing director of Fifth Third Private Bank in Cincinnati, overseeing services for more than 3,000 clients and managing $12 billion in assets.
An active advocate for business development and community engagement, Halbauer serves on numerous boards in addition to the Kentucky Chamber, including the Kentucky Chamber Foundation, One Louisville, PARC, Leadership Louisville Center, CVG and Endeavor.
A Northern Kentucky native, Halbauer earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and business from Thomas More University.
“Kim has been a tremendous leader for Kentucky’s business community, and we are excited to welcome her as chair of the Kentucky Chamber,” said Kentucky Chamber President and CEO Ashli Watts. “Her experience, commitment to strengthening communities, and passion for helping businesses and working families succeed will be invaluable as we continue our work to advance Kentucky.”
“I’m honored to serve as chair of the Kentucky Chamber and to work alongside such a strong group of business leaders from across the Commonwealth,” said Halbauer. “The Chamber has an important role in bringing employers together, addressing the challenges facing our businesses, and advancing opportunities for Kentucky’s future. I look forward to building on that work and supporting the continued growth of our state.”
