Karen Alderman Harbert to present Energy Realities and Opportunities at Business Summit

Karen Alderman Harbert, president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for 21st Century Energy, will present the noon luncheon keynote address Energy Realities and Opportunities at the 7th Business Summit and Annual Meeting on Tuesday, July 17.

Harbert leads the Institute’s efforts to build support for meaningful energy action nationally and internationally through policy development, education, and advocacy. Under her leadership, the Energy Institute has evolved into a premier national and increasingly international organization truly dedicated to advancing a constructive energy agenda and transforming the energy and environmental debate into a widely supported plan of action. She testified yesterday before the House Committee on Science, Space & Technology sharing her expertise on the potential benefits and the existing obstacles to greater development our nation’s vast unconventional oil resources, such as oil shale and oil sands.
