The newest member of Kentucky’s federal delegation, James Comer, is scheduled to address the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s annual 2017 Legislative Preview Conference on December 19 in Lexington.
Congressman-Elect Comer, who will be sworn in Monday on the floor of the United States House of Representatives, will provide a federal update when he kicks off the 2017 Legislative Preview Conference—a one-day gathering of the most prominent and influential policy-makers in Kentucky.
In the 2016 elections, Comer was elected by the citizens of the 1st Congressional district to serve out the remainder of the term of Congressman Ed Whitfield who retired in September and for a full two-year term which begins in January.
Comer owns Comer Family Farms which is one of the largest farming operations in south central Kentucky. He is also a former member of Kentucky’s General Assembly and more recently served as Kentucky’s Commissioner of Agriculture.
The new Congressman will address business leaders at the Kentucky Chamber event at 8:30 am on December 19 at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort in Lexington.
The Legislative Preview provides you with a rare opportunity to hear many of Kentucky’s top public officials discuss their plans, priorities and predictions before the General Assembly convenes in January.
