Key players to discuss reforming state tax code and pension systems at Legislative Preview Conference

As Kentucky continues to struggle financially with an outdated tax code and growing pension crisis, a panel of experts will discuss what the state can expect to see in the coming years on pension and tax reform at the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s annual 2017 Legislative Preview Conference on December 19 in Lexington.


State Sen. Chris McDaniel, Rep. Steven Rudy, State Budget Director John Chilton and KRS Executive Director to serve on panel about pension and tax reform.

State Sen. Chris McDaniel of Taylor Mill, state Rep. Steven Rudy of Paducah, State Budget Director John Chilton, and Kentucky Retirement System interim Executive Director David Eager will serve on a tax and pension panel moderated by Kentucky Chamber member Jennifer Barber of Frost Brown Todd LLC at the Legislative Preview Conference.

The panel of officials will detail what they expect to see from a pension reform discussion as well as what they believe will be on the table when reforming the state’s tax code for the first time in decades.

The Legislative Preview provides you with a rare opportunity to hear many of Kentucky’s top public officials discuss their plans, priorities and predictions before the General Assembly convenes in January.
