Kentucky House Democrats held elections for new minority leadership this week, choosing Rep. Derrick Graham as Floor Leader, Rep. Cherlynn Stevenson as Caucus Chair, and Rep. Rachel Roberts as Minority Whip for a two-year term.
A new leadership team comes after former Democratic House leader Joni Jenkins retired and Minority Whip Angie Hatton was defeated in the general elections in November.
For the past 20 years, Graham has served Franklin County in the House of Representatives and has been in minority leadership for the past four years as House Democratic Caucus Chair.
Rep. Rachel Roberts was elected to the House of Representatives in 2020, representing Campbell County. Rep. Cherlynn Stevenson was elected to the House of Representatives in 2019, representing Fayette and Scott County.
The Senate and House majority held their leadership elections last month.
